Roulette and Blackjack are the most popular casino table games

There are two casino table games that vie for top position or most played and they are roulette and blackjack and they are very different and attract different types of players to the online casinos. Roulette

European roulette has 37 numbers on the wheel which is 1 through 36 and a single zero. American roulette on the other hand has 38 numbers on the wheel which are 1 through 36 plus a single zero plus a double zero. It does not take a genius to figure out that your chances of picking a winner from 37 numbers is greater than your chances of picking a winner from 38 numbers. If the payout odds were greater for American roulette than for European roulette it might be evened out but they are not which makes European roulette the game to choose if indeed you have a choice. There are few table games that are as simple to play as roulette as al the possible bets are laid out on the roulette table. You can place your chips on single numbers or on a line between two numbers which means you are backing both numbers either side of the line. You can also place a chip in a corner of four numbers which indicates you are backing all four numbers which your chip touches or by placing your chips at the end of a row of three numbers you can back all three numbers in that row. This chip should be placed at the left end of the row when zero is at the top of the table. You can also back a whole column of 12 numbers by placing your chips at the bottom of the column you have chosen. Another way to back 12 numbers in roulette is to place your chips in what they call first 12, second 12 or third 12 which refers to numbers 1-12. 13-24 and 25 -36 respectively. The simplest of all bets in roulette is backing 18 out of the 37/38 numbers which can be done either by placing chips on the red or black squares or the odd or even squares but do not think that your chances are 50/50 as a zero is neither red not black nor odd nr even so all those bets will lose. Any combination of the above best can be placed at any one time so the possibilities are endless. Online casinos will generally let you know which numbers have come up in previous spins and some will even give you hot and cold numbers indicating which numbers have been coming up more or less frequently but this has no effect on what the next number will be.

Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the table games which many people are familiar with but it is not as simple as it appears to be if you want to win. Several online casinos also offer unusual variations of roulette but the simple game is usually the best. The idea of blackjack is sometimes written as being to get as close to 21 as possible without busting or going over 21. As a blackjack player you have one clear disadvantage and one clear advantage and to win you need to balance the two. The advantage that you have as a blackjack player is that you know what the dealer is going to when they play their cards. The blackjack dealer must draw cards until they have 17 or over and will hold on 17 or over. Any blackjack player can follow this same strategy and if you do you will find that going over 21 is quite a frequent happening. This means that the deafer will be in this situation quite frequently and of you are still in the game when this happens you will win regardless of what you have in your hand. This means that you are perfectly entitled to stand on any number and hope that the dealer busts which can sometimes be a good strategy. The only clue that you have is the one card showing from the dealer so keep your eyes on that.
