If the total of the two craps dice is 12 the pass line bet loses but the don’t pass line bet is a push. Only when one of these 5 numbers is thrown is the game over, if anything else is thrown then the craps game progresses to the next level and although there are additional bets that can be made at this stage your original bets are still valid and in the game. In very simple terms whatever number was thrown with the two craps dice is called “the point” and the winner is decided by subsequent throws and whether the number represented by the point is repeated before a seven is thrown.
